The image is engraved onto an aluminium plate anThe plate is always inked up fifferently which makes each one uniqued Ink is applied and then worked on by removing areas, partially or completely until the desired image emerges in a range of tones. The image is then transferred from the plate using a printing press onto damp heavy quality printing paper. It is positioned between 2 layers of blotting paper and left to dry under a heavy board.
